Potentially unpopular opinion: This analogy implies that the impoverished are a threat to politicians and rich people, yet sadly I feel like today’s society will/would never fight back. We have a major apathy problem among younger millennials and younger gens I’ve noticed.

Happened to me. Got laid off from my dream job and my manager was holding back tears as much as I was.
I felt bad for him for awhile, but ultimately realized he was still the one that chose me over others to let go just because I was last in the door (nevermind that I uprooted and moved halfway across the country for that job).
Eventually, yes. But I’ll be damned if I don’t give it my all to go as deep as possible before it’s necessary.
