I was always raised to never say sorry after a car accident or in any scenario where police could be involved. I guess it’s just an extension of that being drilled into my head when I was young!
Hence why I said I’m on the other side of the fence. I don’t know why so many of you took such great offense!

Because someone else’s misfortune is inherently not my responsibility. I can easily express sympathy in another way.
I’m not frustrated at being asked why I’m apologizing. Rather, I’m frustrated that it is the norm to apologize for things that you didn’t do.

My point was regarding the former, but the latter certainly would be an issue for me too.
Most people go on vacations for the wrong reasons, if you ask me. There’s an opportunity to experience an entirely different culture and learn about how other people live, but a lot of people waste their time at a resort.
Honestly, writing your thoughts can give you incredible insight into what you’re really thinking.
It’s so easy to just swim in a sea of irreconcilable thoughts nowadays — writing down the first thing that comes to mind can give you an interesting look into your mind.
I have written some seriously profound things off the cuff at a whim, or realized things about myself that I wouldn’t have otherwise.

I am aware of the chicanery cruise lines get up to, as well as the depravity that is commonplace on many American cruise lines. Oh, and emissions.
Apart from that, why should I avoid them?
