The “My wife passed away…” is so common. I would think that would be a turn off to the young generations on the music. Maybe that’s the point? A lot of the music it’s used on has been repurposed already in a new song.

I know some of the people doing this hate America because of legitimate reasons, but they hate our government, not most of the others. Maybe I’m jaded because of where I live, but the city empties when a world catastrophe hits because they’re running around the world to help. That’s the America I know.
I’m all for everyone doing their own thing. Defend if you want to defend, feed the children, etc. Even if you feel like you want to do suicide by cop, go ahead. Promoting a general idea of fight and chaos seems like trolls trying to get America to descend into a civil war, which is the stupidest, most asinine, only good for Russia and China thing America could do. It’s always foreign trolls that say and promote that kind of shit too. It really makes you wonder.
Did you watch the video you linked? Their name is “The Black Panther Party of Self Defense.” There are so many things about that to discuss and I don’t think you’ll come at in good faith, that I feel like that discussion is best left for another fediverse person. You have to attack them first. The OP is talking some other shit.
Also, the reason I mentioned “gun laws getting changed,” is because the trolls usually go there first. This is a new one.
Similar to how they had to create their own programs to feed children because the government refused to.
Right, this is a great way to go about fighting dictators and assholes.
Are they? They’re not going to get any gun laws changed if you don’t hear about them.
- What do the last 20 years tell you?
- There is so much surveillance and military power, how does it turn out?
- What are the Black Panthers up to now?

6·14 days agoI’ll see if I can find it, but that “collectively lost $830 billion in market value” is doing a lot of heavy lifting. It went down from like 89% to 82% or something. That’s how much those fuckers make.
I know, I think it’s funny. But someone has to call out the guy who’s agreeing with Admiral Patrick and always seems to have a space/star trek themed name. Either an excellent shit poster that I get to set up, or it’s one of their buddies/alts.
It made me wonder if he didn’t get the list from the largest instance he’s a user on? I’m telling you, they do some curating of the content over there. It happened to me and that’s why I’m SJW.
Really? I’m malicious spammer, hate-monger or blackhat state actor? News to me, but good to know.
Though I do fear the backlash. You’ve got a bunch of malicious spammers, hate-mongers and blackhat state actors who now have an open window to cause a lot of harm (harassment & general sowing of discontent) with the convenient smoke screen of upset trans folks who it can be blamed on.
It’s the price fixing. If the market was the way it used to be, you could afford rent.

memes@lemmy.world•Ah, the joys of being a woman in her early thirties!
6·1 month agoDrinking warm water in the morning might be a nice start to the day. Also, if you’re not consistent with your caffeine, you go through withdrawal symptoms that sound a lot like that.

2·1 month agoI’m glad it was delicious, a poke bowl is a great idea. Sour cream seems wrong, but I’ve been surprised by that stuff before.

2·1 month agoI caught that too. I think it’s the dark color on the outside? They sell onigiri in a lot of our grocery stores and I’ve only seen them covered with opaque wrappings. That’s why I think it’s correct, but I’m not sure. It could also seem less chewy when it’s on the outside because there’s more to stretch? Just guessing.

6·1 month agoI’m not disagreeing with you, cuz I don’t know, but wikipedia says:
A Philadelphia roll is a makizushi (also classified as a kawarizushi)[1] type of sushi generally made with smoked (or sometimes raw) salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber, with the rice on the outside (uramaki).[2] It is sometimes made with imitation crab instead of salmon, but can be found to include other ingredients, such as other types of fish,[3] cucumber,[4] scallions,[5] and sesame seed. Like many Western-inspired sushi rolls, its design and name are modified to target an American market, which includes putting the rice on the outside, and the nori in the inside (inside-out sushi) to appeal to western aesthetics.[6][7]

1·1 month agoI’ve never seen that around here. I bet it’s delicious though.

There are so many waves of this happening though, I think that you might be noticing it on your favorite music for this wave.
