Looking for an alternative to reddit
I think I’m on the other side - I think it’s way too much woke agenda in a lot of popular TV shows we watch. Disney competely wrecked a lot of shows because they kept pushing in gender/race related things that felt competely out of place.
I couldn’t even watch the acolyte. They wrecked it competely. Many web pages have described what’s wrong with it so won’t repeat that here, but hopefully you already know what I mean.
It’s part of an effort to normalize seeing it. I think it’s probably good, but it’s just a bit unrealistic sometimes and feels very forced. ':)

I have no idea what woke even means anymore. It seems to mean “social awareness”. Black lives matters kind of a thing. Equal rights for trans people too of course. That doesn’t mean that everyone should support games being forced into having all genders, or races, or include trans people. Or all books or movies should be forced to have those things.
If you create something, it’s up to you how you want that to be. You are the artist.
This is not equal to hating trans people, and anyone with some iq points realizes this. We can’t turn every creation into a vehicle for trans rights.
This is why people should be allowed to work from where they want. Of course it’s not healthy to not meet other people for long times.
Some of my colleagues are single and they felt the same during covid, it was very difficult for them. But I had a family and didn’t feel lonely at all. So situations vary a lot.
Yeah I knew it too, just making sure more people know the real reasons. :)
The media goes on and on about the fake reasons like collaboration and other bullshit.
I think it’s silly. You can’t fight dictators with gaming choices. That stuff is real life.

Russian game companies are not our enemy. The leadership of the country may be, but so what? You going to try and influence that by choosing non-russian games? That’s ridiculous… :)
No not a real concept, thank god. Got lucky to be born in northern Europe. Seems to be one of the best spots on the planet.
America has freedom of owning the speech. They almost got it right. :p

Yeah I agree. I will never be filthy rich but I will also never be very stressed out or risk ending up on the street. It’s a fair deal. :)
The US values company profits over all else. It’s different in Europe because we have legal protections.
Sure but the evaluations of the magnificent seven stocks makes no sense at all. Nvidia price to earnings is at 55, which means it will take 55 years before the current stock value matches its actual value.
It’s common for tech companies to be valued higher than their worth because of future profit possibilities, but Im 100% confident AI won’t give the effects in extra sales that the market hopes for.
Consumers actually try to avoid most the Ai crap. Only some of it is marginally useful. Maybe it will become more useful, or maybe not.
