  • All of which the physicist can trivially account for, control and variable test around, should the requested question be updated to require it.

The requested question did not include “In all possible scenarios”, thus determining the volume of the sphere via physics calculation at the most average of conditions, is the most correct valid solution, absent further requirement parameters.

  • Pretty sure if you went back in time and started spouting the things Mac A wrote about, he’d invite you to dinner and ask you to see yours and he’ll show you his ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

I actually don’t know jack shit about ancient Rome’s library system, if any.

    I miss that damn Pug.

But it wasn’t uncommon a trend in antiquity for the learned and educated to maintain private memoirs and journals relating to their interests.

They just never got to figure out Wikipedia.

And most of them probably sucked, we’re kinda lucky with Meditations.

I doubt that there was any sort of commonality to the rigors applied by the educated wealthy towards their “look at me, I can write and ponder about stuff because I don’t need to worry about food” projects.

  • Ayup. I’ve noticed and wondered the same thing. Very logical and great ROI, it spreads itself

    And the cost is what?

A little Thiel anti-christ buffoonery here, a little Zuck has to make a blog post about the wonders of the happy AI there?

Their biggest issue is just self correcting the sentiment gauge for their vanity, the machinery to ensure they are the only ones who use and control the tooling with proficiency is already in place from their perspective.

  • Indeed. But that paradigm breaks when the percentage at stake, the password ultimately being wrenched for, is literally infinite wealth.

That’s what immortality functionally is. Some things by logical extension, and others admittedly chances to attempt them, but potentially infinite of 'em chances. At anything. The acquisition of any resource is not even a full chapter in the new book.

If you (generic you, here the kind of person who would be in the sphere of the kind of person to attempt to withhold and control immortality already) are even remotely close enough to pick up a wrench and take it to whoever is holding it, you don’t settle for a percentage, you go start the first of a long line of endless beatings on the first Immortal. It’s the only value proposition that makes sense, any degree of acquiescence against your interests, is agreeing to give them up and do so for potential eternity.

Imo, there’s only one way uh…well, it’s not ethical in our framework but I’m ready to argue how it is from the framework of a future immortal POV…I guess way to handle immortality.

You dose everyone with it. Full send it, most heinous final act of Humanity. Go straight to the deepest hell, the first Immortal cell belongs to you. But then everyone has to deal with fucking around and the finding out, forever, no exceptions or excuses.

Shit will get solved and we’ll be on our way to solar expansion so freaking fast.

  • I honestly don’t think anyone is prepared to wield that set of keys to effectively enforce control on anyone.

They’re simply too valuable, sought after, and desired, imo.

I’d expect that the moment an individual despot or even a cabal thereof attempts to do so, they’ll go in a very shortlist designed with only one purpose in mind: Demonstration of the ways immortality absolutely sucks for you if guys with a bunch of wrenches are beating you up for the password.

Honestly, a smart and sane Oligarch should fear nothing with a greater degree of dread, than immortality.

  • Ugga ugga big bonk is not something you build for.

You can, but such planning is clearly indicative of DEX thinking. All Bonk requires is the bravery to face your foes, and bonk them.

You simply start, grab the biggest, heaviest, most bonky bonk stick you are blessed with within 15 minutes of playing.

It will be there. The bonk is always there, waiting to be recognized.

You grab it and you pump your numbers into enough str to bonk really fucking hard with it.

    You then go and bonk.

In the course of bonking, you learn you need to sustain a minimum amount of bonking yourself, in order to bonk the best you can bonk.

You then hold up three fingers, that is all you need. That is more syllables than ‘bonk’ has, so for every time you say bonk, you put a point in STR and another in VIT.

This continues until you feel you are no longer being bonked before your own bonking takes place.

Depending on how many syllables you think ‘bonk’ has as you were chanting it earlier, you will end up with roughly 1 VIT for every 3-4 STR.

That is all the thinking you need. Even other bonk sticks, while plentiful, are optional.

    Wait…

They (TR) definitely were involved in the “creation” of Ditto. In the pursuit of Mew. Who already “was” every Pokemon, in a sense. But you don’t start that sort of research from scratch.

You pick a likely candidate for trials that has whatever traits you’re looking for.

How does a Team Rocket experiment get a lower number?

If they did something to #132 that led to not just a lab specimen Ditto…but altered all instances of #132 in the wild also.

Dear Arceus…they genocided #132 and rewrote the children’s history books. The monsters.

The way I thought it all shaked down (and what I thought was established fan canon long ago), was that the Cinnerbar Mansion experiments were an attempt to clone Mew.

Ditto was one of the first failures (and I bet the poor guys have it worse than no thoughts of their own, but rather their very thoughts are constantly trapped fighting shifting self-identity, if we want to go Grim Dark lol)

And they never got to perfect a Mew, because the next stage in the experiment precluded that.

That they achieved Mewtwo, after Ditto, and the scope of the project rapidly changed when the “benefactor” (sue me, there’s still kids picking up the games, I ain’t spoiling it, but we know who we’re talking about) bankrolling the project got the initial “power level readings”.

So they pumped Mewtwo, their perfect IV monstrosity, with both forced and artificial EVs, until what happened, happened, and Mewtwo had to go hang out in that cave to get some peace.

    Meanwhile the Dittos suffer ;(
