My parents used to say “I can’t wait until you have one just like you. Then you’ll understand how difficult you are to live with.”
So I got sterilized.
And they were surprised for some reason.

If you learn to read while paying attention to your peripheral vision, you don’t even have to sit to do it, you can go for a nice walk and enjoy the day, while still mostly ignoring reality!

My man’s definitely got one of these bad boys clipped to his belt. (Yes, the blades fold up)

Something really neat that I’ve noticed is that nobody can actually tell if you are making eye contact with them if you never make eye contact with them to begin with, but also aren’t looking around their face or past them.
I watch people’s mouths when they talk (and look random directions when I talk) because it helps me process what they are saying, never eye contact cuz it’s very uncomfortable and that makes processing slower. I’ve asked many people over the years for my own knowledge because I often hear how important eye contact is, but nobody I’ve asked has realized it wasn’t eye contact. At arms length, it’s pretty indistinguishable.
So mask if you want to, but apparently you don’t really have to if you’d rather just be yourself.
Before reading the post body, I was trying to think if I’d ever seen apple orange juice, because I thought it was a weird juice combo thing… like the joke that apple marketing is fantastic because it’s in every other juice.
So genuinely thanks for the explanation lol

Well shit now I want to know if quantum computers have operating systems…
And it looks like as of earlier this year the answer to that… is yes. Special ones. Well, special one so far.
Quantum internet seems like a really bad idea, though, if the regular internet is any indication…
Ah that’s great thanks!
That sounds interesting, you got a link?
It’s pretty heavily socially stigmatized, however. If anyone knew you were pregnant and then suddenly you aren’t and there’s no baby, questions get asked and judgement and rumors spread like wildfire, especially in smaller towns.
