You would still at least figure out one of the conflicting mods and could look for updates / further information about conflicts.
Edit: On PC that is.

That’s how I look for broken mods too. Move half of them into a temp folder, launch the game. If it works, put half of the sorted out ones back. if it doesn’t work, remove another half and try again.
That’s easy when you consider that there hasn’t been basically any sort information about S42 for a long time now. Still doesn’t really prove anything about a potentially finished product.
Right after headlines of SC losing the faith of the community. lol
Also, Starfield has already launched. Not that I would even compare the two titles but Squadron 42 has still to prove its actual existence.
In what way? The sidebar is possibly the only thing I can think of.
Ublock?
Hm, I guess it’s an alternative. I’ll give it a try. The Fandom & Fextralife wikis constantly being at the top search results often pisses me off.
What if there are no alternative wikis?
And the latest version is Unity based. Also, I’d say the only thing that prevents Enterbrain to do a similar move, is simply that they don’t even have nearly the same significance & reach as Unity. RPG Maker always was a niche product, even if it a popular one at that. But you don’t really see big commercial game releases that are based on it like you do with Unity.
We’ll have to see how this Unity thing plays out, but if this isn’t going to be the engine’s downfall, then it will become a new norm for others to follow.
I was considering using they / them for a second, just for shits & giggles, but then thought it’s likely not even really used in a lot of dialogs anyway (very much true after many hours later now). In hindsight it would have probably just confused me though, thinking they talk about someone else. Because I am super tired from literally playing too much, which completely fucks with my concentration & attention span. lol
Honestly, the game is exactly what I expected from all the pre-release info. It’s a Bethesda RPG in space. I didn’t expect a space sim, so I didn’t expect any sort of dynamic streaming for seamless planetary transitions and the likes, because they very clearly stated that this wasn’t a thing.
And the capital G Gamers seem to be more bothered by pronouns, body types, female leaders, all the “replaced white people”, etc. lol
Seriously, stay away from the Steam forums folks.
You can’t be serious.
You can blame corporate all you want, but in the end it’s the fuckers who end up buying this shit that enables it and makes it an industry standard.
I can’t stand his and other MC channels clickbait garbage. I think Etho is the only one I still watch to this day. No weird titles, no weird thumbnails, no asking for subs, just genuine good content.
I love Steam, but the fact that you cannot permanently disable auto updates for specific titles is definitely infuriating.
