Sorry but he is totally your president. You can’t be in favor of the democratic process of elections and then distance yourself from the outcome.
You as a nation voted for Trump. He’s your president. You own the consequences along with all Americans.

You should, if only to know when the ICE Gestapo might come knocking at your door or when it’s time to flee because it’s too dangerous to stay in the US.
Using Copilot even as a mere coding assistance is insane, if no other reason than you’re sending all your code to Microsoft, and you also let them monitor your work habits in uncomfortably intimate details.
I don’t mind offensive or off-color jokes.
But here’s the thing: the more offensive and off-color, the better the joke had better be to be worth the offense.
This is not a good joke. You’re just being offensive.
The lesson for the CEO of that company probably is that his workers are paid enough to buy matches and that needs correcting immediately.
Newsflash: the kids never invented anything and everything that’s old is new again.
I am indeed lucky because the company I work for cares about its employees. It’s literally written in the company statutes: the company exists to make money of course, but first and foremost to serve its workforce and the community, and takes decisions to maximize the well-being and the personal growth of the employees and the community.
We took an honest look at including AI in our workflow, but we decided it wasn’t worth the social destruction. Only a few employees use it - mostly the marketdroids to generate illustrations on the sales literature.
I am aware that this is a rare type of company and I cherish that job.
Unsurprisingly, it’s necessary to understand a problem to solve it - just like the proverbial infinite monkey would in theory produce the entire body of work of Shakespeare given enough time, in reality, only Shakespeare managed to write proper Shakespeare the first time out.
AI is the infinite monkey of coding. I, as a senior developer, have spend entirely too many hours of my working life fixing code written by monkeys, and I have already had to correct AI code (thankfully small and generated by a colleague who promptly apologized and decided to do his homework and study the problem at hand instead of winging it with Crapilot).
If they haven’t fired you, it’s because they can’t, for one or several of three reasons:
That’s why they’re trying to get you to quit on your own: if you do, they’re off the hook.
I know that because the previous company I worked for, where I was a manager, tried to get me to offboard a member of my team whom they deemed troublesome that way and I refused.
So my advice is: don’t quit!
Instead, behave impeccably and document the reasonable requests that you asked your manager. If you feel overwhelmed, tell your manager and don’t do extra work that would hurt you. Go see a shrink and tell them you don’t feel well because your work is putting extra demands on you. Document your having to see a shrink because of your job, and any prescription pills they might give you.
Build arguments in your favor and don’t let them off easy. If / when they finally fire you, show them the file and ask them if they’re willing to go to court over it.
And of course, if you’re in a union, go see your union rep. That’s what unions are for.

Most people who say “Not my president” are Americans who feel ashamed. Nobody else in the world feels the need to say that because they have no reason to be ashamed.
