Actually we’re enthusiasts of both Marlon Brando and sandwiches.
Yeah, it can be tricky. This is probably one of the biggest issues with the fediverse.
It’s on https://sffa.community. But that’s another problem. I think a lot of communities besides the main ones on here thought they’d just make a community and people would start posting. They didn’t post anything to bring people in and they didn’t know to go federate their community with other instances. The most active communities here are, !sffgaming@sffa.community, which is me, !brandonsanderson@sffa.community, !imaginarycosmere@sffa.community, and !cosmere@sffa.community .
I think that’s a very good point.
I’ve been fighting to get my community off the ground and even though I do get a small amount of engagement no one else has made any posts and I honestly wonder if it’ll ever get anywhere. I need to come up with something more interesting to do than I have been.
A lot of subs never really got a foothold outside of Reddit. I tried to do what I could and I’m still trying my best but I’m only one guy and I’m not good at making content. Barely anyone from the BrandoSando subs came, the incremental games community gave up before it even started, no community that I know has had a successful offshoot in the fediverse.
It’s hard to go wrong with a good, thick baked potato soup.
Soup is one of the few things I’m kinda picky about. There’s so much lame soup out there.
I’ve seen this before and it never occurred to me that this would require them to just leave the shit.
Nah, most people hate fascists.
Much like people who think relationship and sex are synonymous, you are vastly oversimplifying the range of human relationships.
The virginity is less of an issue than 31 years of loneliness. Like, people say you don’t need a relationship to be happy and that’s true, but it really doesn’t fucking help in the slightest. It’s just a pointless platitude from people who don’t understand the pain.
I made a post to discuss the first game. I’m playing it now and once I’ve beaten it I’ll make a post to discuss what people expect of the second game.
That’s a very good idea!
SFF Gaming is for sci-fi and fantasy gaming of all types. It’s kinda broad scope but I don’t really wanna narrow it too much. Something I’m wrestling with is how “mainstream” of news should I post? I won’t stop others from posting things as long as they’re relevant, but for example would it be constructive for me to post the story about the Talos Principle 2 release date? It’s cool news but I’m sure most people will see it elsewhere so I feel like me posting it to my community would only serve to clog feeds. I would like to mainly focus on smaller stuff, though. Projects that might not other get many eyeballs.
Yeah, one of my big challenges is carving an identity out. Also carving one out for the community badum tss Thanks for giving it a try!
