I would have sworn it was an article from this election cycle, but hey, that’s the brain for you…not nearly as reliable as we’d like to believe.
I wish I remembered where I read it so I could attribute it, but I saw someone describe Trump not as a liar but as a bullshitter. It’s not that he lies. It’s that he has no regard, one way or another, for whether what he is saying is a lie or not. He simply has a thought and recites it. It’s so effortless for him to lie because, from his perspective, it’s the same as telling the truth. If this is true, the pattern you’ve identified could be merely chance based on the probability that any random thought a person has is more likely to be wrong than right when they are incapable of learning new information.
I didn’t feel like I was doing it justice, so I found the sauce…from fucking 2015. https://newrepublic.com/article/124803/donald-trump-not-liar
Forgot to capitalize every other letter…
Even Krusty’s dad eventually loved him.
Yeah, as long as we have Musks, Zuckerbergs, and Shkrelis in the world, we’ll always need a public entity strong enough to act as a counterbalance. I can’t imagine an entity other than “government” to do that.
The last thing I want is a visit from the privately-owned police department to interrogate me about using an ad blocker.
That’s…not what gills are for.
There’s a pretty big gap “making it on the news to raise awareness for your cause” and “mastabatory shitposting on social media”
dude isn’t sneaking video evidence of wrongdoing out of a factory farm… just photoshopping bad dentures on sharks.
I agree that any movement needs both friendly and provocative advocacy to affect change, but the only thing these types of posts accomplish is helping OP feel superior.
It’s all a joke
You know if it’s that bad you can leave too, right?
I’d rather have a 100km particle collider than an aircraft carrier.
I mean, the equation isn’t wrong given that AI basically becomes a rounding error and can be safely ignored.
I worked at McDonald’s for quite a while as a teen. A regular hamburger patty there is 1/10 lb and a quarter pounder is…as you might suspect 1/4 lb. That would make an adult deer weight between 80 - 200 lbs.
The average weight of an adult male whitetail deer is 203 lb (maximum, 405 lb). The average weight of a female is about 155 lb (maximum, 218 lb).
I don’t recall receiving any training on the weight of the condiments or buns, but I’d suspect they weight slightly more than the small patty amd slightly less than the larger one, so let’s assume 1/5 lb. That changes our original 80 - 200 lb range to be 240 - 360 which is a little too heavy.
In conclusion, hamburgers are a shit measurement, but if you had a mix of 800 child-size and adult-sized burgers and you hit it with your truck, it would do a similar amount of damage as hitting a deer.
We can never understand His (the artist, that is) will.

I wish we were exploring space more!
The monkey paw curls. We get entitled pricks, destroying labor protections to build so much wealth they’ve bought everything worth owning on the planet and still yearn for more.
I wish we had robots to do our work!
Another finger curls. Wealth inequality cripples the working class. Corporations consolidate to the point that everything is profit driven… locked behind paywalls or subscriptions. The only publicly available art and literature are made by robots.
I wish we could all communicate with each other!
The last finger curls, and paw crumbles to dust. Democracies around the world flounder as their populations are brainwashed by greedy CEOs in the news and media…taught to fear their neighbors and mistrust those politicians who haven’t been bought and paid for. Online, they’re bombarded by misinformation campaigns on every topic until they live in different realities. Diseases and pestilence once vanquished through science and cooperation return when science isn’t trusted and cooperation with your fellow citizens is viewed as betrayal to your tribe. The world now burns, and it, too, crumbles to dust.
This timeline sucks, yo.
Maybe…but we did less during the financial crisis of 2008 and had a worse outcome. When we analyzed that data from 2008, we decided that it would probably work better if we spent more next time, which is what we did this time…and the result matched the prediction, which is pretty much how you prove something works scientifically. Make a prediction, test the prediction, and if the test results match your prediction, that is evidence for your hypothesis. So, the evidence we have says it’s probably better to increase deficit spending to avoid economic collapses. This isn’t a lab, so we can’t control for every variable to really prove it, and we probably never could…we can just keep evaluating our results after a problem and see if the changes we made resulted in a better or worse outcome than we predicted.
“You guys didn’t support this creator when he was alive… all you did was consume his content so he could continue creating instead of getting an office job somewhere.” At least it’s not a take I’ve heard before…that supporting artists isn’t supporting artists…
I was doing full stack dev for 20 years until very recently. Never needed anything beyond basic algebra EXCEPT for while I was getting my CS degree…had 2 classes, i think, where we were doing matrix math/Fourier transforms, but iirc they were electives…one was writing a very basic 3d graphics driver and the other was working with very simple computer vision…things like recognizing handwritten letters.
