This. Some people seem to take the desire to learn from a person as a personal attack, too.

2·2 months agoNah, now your back hurts.
And then they give you a very short character limit in which to do so, thus leading to a lot of summarized patch notes due to those limits.
This is a soap box rant not a comic.
Treating their customers like barely tolerated nuisances.
As far as I know it was a loss leader, too, as in they priced it lower than it would be profitable to take over the market before the hikes. So with that in mind it sounds like they’re pretty screwed.
It’s all posted by this same guy
The big reason this shifted was because of how detailed modern AAA environment are. The environments are now richly detailed, which makes it confusing since interactivity hasn’t kept pace with visuals. This required more heavy handed guidance like yellow paint, or interaction prompts on objects.
I think classic WoW is an interesting thing to study in comparison. It doesn’t even tell you what’s interactive at a glance, but it’s clear because there are so few objects in each area.
Welcome to investor bait, where the numbers are made up and the business plan doesn’t matter!
Opposite goals. If it’s in your pocket it needs to be minimal size. If it’s deep in your purse, it needs to be easy to grab.
Maybe you enjoy debating people, but you also don’t owe it every asshat on the internet to justify everything you say if you don’t feel like it.

Not always a good plan when you’re managing business relationships. It’s great when you can have that kind of dialog with a client, but diplomacy is a tricky dance sometimes.

I’m a graphic designer, and I’ve been kind of amazed how many people like to show me the graphic/logo/whatever AI made for them. They don’t seem to get that they’re just rubbing in my face that they don’t want to pay an artist…
It always looks kinda crappy too, so I just have to fake the reaction all around.

Gaming@beehaw.org•Sincere question: why play long video games?
4·6 months agoI love Cyan games. Not just Myst, I still play whatever they put out to this day.
I first experienced those games watching my dad play them, so they were very formational for me. I went on to play lots of other point and click adventure games, too.
I haven’t done much with VR. I don’t own any of the tech and I’ve only tried it once. To be honest it was a bit nauseating for me so I haven’t had much desire to try it again.
So would you rather be able to experience your own ideas, since you don’t like experiencing other people’s? For me getting to see an imagined setting is very fun (when it’s a good one). Same goes for movies and books. I’ve always been a fantasy and SciFi fan (though I hate generic fantasy and scifi, it needs to be an interesting setting I haven’t seen before for me to really get into it)

6·6 months agoFor me my favorite thing in games is exploring and being immersed in a world I could never experience in real life. Because of that I enjoy a lot of big open world games that do tend to be long. For me I really enjoy poking around and finding all the nooks and crannies, so having a big world with lots of that means more fun to be had!

What part of the bird is inside his head? 😬
