Steam locomotives are still used on tourist and heritage railways, just not in revenue service anymore. (An exception being a single railway in Bosnia that still uses WW2-era German steam locomotives.)

A lot of people not familiar with Thomas also don’t realize Henry is let out of the tunnel in the following episode of the TV series. Many people think Henry really was bricked up for always, and always, and always. To expand on that point, Sir Topham Hatt isn’t being cruel (though as you mentioned he’s not exactly being nice either), he’s punishing an engine for jeopardizing the entire railway and putting the livelihoods of all of the other engines and employees at risk. The main line is critical for the railway’s operation, as without it, there’s no Express, no access to branch lines, and no way to deliver goods and passengers. Without a railway, they’d be out of a job and possibly scrapped, a fate that most engines outside of Sodor meet. And in addition to that, the island of Sodor is heavily reliant on the railway to function and is a major employer in the region. The railway going under would cause economic havok for the whole island. Topham knows this and had to take drastic measures to teach Henry the error of his ways.

This is OUTRAGEOUS! I am shocked and appalled.

They aren’t always defederated. Most users can still use conservative@lemm.ee, but most don’t bother because absolutely nothing ever gets through to the conservative users of that community no matter what sources or evidence to support arguments are used. It’s like talking to a brick wall. Some of the users like MomoTimetoDie are outright hostile.

They’re probably just a troll. 7 month account, only 5 comments all made within the past two weeks. The name is a dead giveaway as well. They know full well how insufferable they sound, that’s their goal.

The Pizza Hut in my city is still open, but it looks incredibly run-down with weeds all over the almost-always-empty parking lot. Never been there myself, as Pizza Hut had long lost its good reputation before I ever considered going there.

You gotta watch out though, because several Deathclaws can spawn outside the quarry on the highway itself that can be troublesome to sneak past. Easiest way is to hug the rock walls along the right side of the highway and climb up if necessary.

If you do decide to take that route, it’s especially rewarding for a melee/unarmed character. You can pick up Chance’s Knife as well as the unique Love and Hate spiked knuckles, which are both absurdly powerful. Especially if you use the weapon binding ritual and Rushing Water. Those two weapons alone can last you the whole game.

Yamaha built music sirens back in the 1950s as well. Since the Japanese public wanted to forget about the horrors of WW2, Yamaha sought to repurpose the common mechanical air raid siren into a musical device since loudspeakers weren’t a common thing yet.

4-10 electromechanical sirens representing each note of a scale were driven on a single driveshaft and each siren had an electromagnetic shutter that would open and close the ports where sound is emitted to play or silence the notes. A handful still survive and operate, though they’re sadly dwindling as Yamaha ceased supporting them a few decades ago.
