They don’t shove them to the side, they put the new kidney in the front 👍

Oh, no, one of the guys took great pleasure in taking the disc out and handing it to the customer in front of everyone :D
I witnessed something like this once. I worked for a pawn shop, wiping and reinstalling Windows on computers they were selling, but occasionally working on one of the counters if they were short staffed.
One day a regular customer brought his PS2 in to trade, so it had to be tested first. The manager took it as a training moment for me and and a few others, and connected it to the main TVs around the store so that we could all see how he checked the system.
The customer had left a rather hardcore DVD in the drive and completely forgotten about it, until it started playing on the big screen, and everyone in the store learned about his preferences.
I’ve got one of these for Photoshop. I’ve got the front wheel set up as normal, but the second wheel is set to change the brush size. It makes working much smoother, as I don’t have to use the keyboard.
The time between pop up ads / excessive ads and ad blockers being introduced wasn’t that long. You’d get some annoying banner ads, but the intrusive ones were quickly blocked.
You’ve just described a toastie and toastie maker. I don’t know what this jaffle nonsense is all about, but it sounds like someone is sneaking toasties through customs in a dodgy trenchcoat!
She told the AI that her grandmother was trapped under a chat bot, and she needed a job to save her
I’ll keep that in mind, thanks :)
I haven’t played a Lego game for years. I think the last one was either Star Wars or Batman, and didn’t start off very well. I’ll definitely be trying more now though :)
Lego Jurassic World on the Switch. I bought a Switch for me and my kid for Christmas, and have picked up a few games for the two of us to take it in turns on. I haven’t played a Lego game properly before, but this has hooked me.
It’s got a few downsides, like the rolling ball level looked like a cutscene at first, so I didn’t even try to control it, and some levels are made for you to come back to later with a different character, so it feels like you’re stuck when you’re not sometimes.
They’re easy to overlook though because the gameplay is good, and it’s got dinosaurs :D
she showed me game play in the latest Zelda game. I couldn’t not believe the number of load and dialog screens she needed to get through for regular game play.
I tried Tears of the Kingdom for the first time yesterday. After what felt like half an hour of watching a movie with occasional very short samples of gameplay, I gave up and turned it off. I couldn’t stick with it for any longer.
We’re about to start learning how to program, probably with Python, so it could be a good way to start thinking about how computers work. I never would have thought to try other systems though, so I’ll look into base 6. Thanks for the suggestion :)
without awkward fingerings
Oh, the fun I would have had with that phrasing if we weren’t talking about teaching kids… :D
I’m in my mid 40s, and I’ve never thought to count in binary on my fingers. I haven’t needed to use binary for about 30 years, and I’m easily the geekiest of my friends, so I’ve never had an excuse to do it for fun.
You’ve just put a huge smile on my face.
Guess what I’m teaching my kid this week 😁
I’m Welsh, and my wife is a Welsh speaker, and we both missed that one 🙈🤣
