It’s been a while since I regularly used a car, but I remember the automatics my father had having some sort of logic that shifted up when driving at a constant speed, than back down when wanting to accelerate.
Now those where fancy pants Systems (I think they called them 7G-Tronic), but this was also over 10 years ago, and such logic doesn’t strike me as overly complicated, so I’m surprised there’s current cars with static shift speeds.
Ich habe tatsächlich beruflich recht wenig mit Bürokratie zu tun, daran mag es liegen, dass mir das als Problem nicht so präsent war.
Und beim Status Quo ging es mir eher ums Lieferkettengesetz - zu den Strafzöllen kann ich nicht so viel sagen. Es nervt mich allerdings etwas, wie sehr wir uns bemühen, Konzerne zu schützen, die recht wenig für ihre Kunden und Mitarbeiter übrig zu haben scheinen. Heißt natürlich nicht, dass es unbedingt so toll wäre, von importen abhängig zu sein.
Ja, ich denke dass es am Ende ein großes Problem ist, eine Lösung dafür zu finden, ausreichend große oder gut vernetzte Firmen davon abzuhalten, entsprechendes in ihrer Lieferkette zu verstecken.
Bei der Bürokratie fällt es mir tatsächlich schwer zu entscheiden, wie problematisch das in der Umsetzung tatsächlich gewesen wäre. Am Ende fehlt mir da die Perspektive, ich habe nie irgendwas geschäftsmäßig importiert.
Ich halte es jedoch gefährlich, mit der Rechtfertigung, den Status Quo im Markt nicht gefährden zu wollen, erstmal nichts zu tun. So kommt man schlicht nicht voran.
Joa, weiß halt auch da nicht, ob Einfuhrzölle der richtige Schritt sind, aber am Ende bin ich auch kein Marktexperte. Bin jedenfalls nach wie vor der Meinung, dass wir unsere Lieferketten riguroser Kontrollieren müssten.
Unabhängig davon nervt mich der Trend vieler Marken, selbst Kleinwagen wie den Golf als “Premium” zu vermarkten und entsprechend den Preis anzuheben. Sehe aber auch nicht, was man da groß machen kann, außer eben persönlich nicht von denen zu kaufen.
Genauso finde ich, dass Elektroautos allgemein vielzu viel Platz im öffentlichen Diskurs wegnehmen. Klar finde ich es auch gut, lokale Emissionen zu verringern, aber vor allem in Ballungsräumen müssen wir in meinen Augen weg vom Individualverkehr.
Gibt es bei VW nicht auch Vorwürfe, dass die in ihren chinesischen Werken Zwangsarbeit Nutzen würden, oder zumindest genutzt haben? Ich finde, dass unter dem Gesichtspunkt der richtige Ansatz eine konsequente Kontrolle der Lieferkette wäre. Ohne jetzt über die Sinigkeit von Strafzöllen unter der Annahme von Subventionen zu diskutieren, bin ich der Meinung, dass wir das Konsequent für alle hier verkauften Produkte machen müsste.
Genauso die Prüfung der Sicherheit, wobei wir ja jetzt schon viele von chinesischen Partnern designte oder zumindest mitentwickelte EVs umfahren haben, die nicht sonderlich viele Probleme zu machen scheinen - hauptsächlich Geely sehe ich recht oft (Volvo, Northstar, Lotus, etc., haben glaube ich auch eine strategische Partnerschaft mit Mercedes).
Menschen, die ein E-Auto für 7.5k kaufen wollen, überlegen wahrscheinlich nicht, ob sie den Golf für 27k kaufen, oder doch 4k mehr für eine elektrische Alternative ausgeben sollen.

You have an island governed by a democratically elected government, with a population that from what I remember mostly doesn’t want to be assimilated into the PRC. The PRC taking it by force would, in my eyes, be rather imperialistic.

Haven’t read into this too much, but I think the affected person that made this get attention was a solo dev that was prototyping a solution for one of his customers.
And the reason he raised a stink was because he had a huge bill, as the name he chose for his bucket was by chance the same an open source project used as a sample bucket name, so whenever someone deployed it without first customising the config, it was pinging his bucket and getting a 403.
Why not just a physical TOTP token? There’s ones that do 100 Tokens, probably won’t need more than that. Smartphone for 2fa seems overkill.

Thanks for clarifying. I was mostly trying to apply that scenario to a likely real world one, but there’s definitely cases in which it could be two factor.
Hmh, I guess, though I feel this is a bit more complicated. What if you can look up the username in the registration mail sent to the inbox? Or it’s a site that uses email addresses as usernames? Is it knowing if said knowledge is inferrable from the thing you have?
Bitwarden inserts them automatically, and if I ever have to do it manually for some reason, it just doubles the fun. Hasn’t happened to me yet, though.
I have relatively long Passwords, because why not, and had problems with pages restricting the number of characters you can enter in the login window, but not the registration window. Or restricting password length and cutting your password off, but not telling you about it, so you gotta figure out that they set the first 30 characters of the saved password as your password.
Always fun to deal with. I could make it a lot easier for me by just using shorter passwords, but I think deep down I’m a masochist.

You don’t. Autobahnen usually exist between cities, and are separate from other types of traffic. Your vehicle also needs to meet a minimum speed requirement to be allowed on. When an Autobahn runs through a city, there’s usually a grade separation.
