If we block them we don’t see them and can’t downvote them, which is a tacit acceptance that these kinds of demeaning misogynistic comics are acceptable. They are not acceptable. I’m doing my very small part to make this place feel a little safer for others by downvoting instead of simply ignoring and accepting the hurtful things shared by you and your ignorant and disgusting ilk.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•[meta] Please ban comics by bigoted artists
10·15 days agoOf course the person posting all the horny misogynistic tripe here would unironically start their comment with the word hysteria. Are you really that clueless or just a troll. Either way it’s not cool.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•[meta] Please ban comics by bigoted artists
10·15 days agoNo it doesn’t.
What is up with the sudden influx of this awful artist’s horny misogynistic shit getting posted over and over and over lately? Most of it gets rightly downvoted to hell, but plenty of it isn’t outright offensive enough in the moment to offset the up votes for boobs. Between this creep and Beep (the other horny shit stain cropping artist attribution and AI upscaling comics), the content here has really taken a turn for the worse. It’s like as soon as everyone turned on Beep, this other jerk popped up and started spewing another variety of horny slop. Seems like too much of coincidence to be a coincidence.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•This April Fool's day, the joke is on everyone
49·28 days agoHey Beep, forget to switch accounts?
Lol, not surprised. I have them tagged as horny for AI and I don’t mean they’re just enthusiastic.
That’s a copout and also just plain false, call them feelings or takes makes no difference here. That’s not how discourse works.
Some stories use hyperbole for dramatic effect, so clearly this is a flaw in the fundamental concept of all narrative fiction. What a dumb take.
If you’re into that kind of speculation, you might enjoy “The Cosmic Serpent” by Jeremy Narby.
That Wikipedia article is surprisingly silent on Norris’ support of Trump.

Those sun visors (and pretty much any soft case or sleeve type holder) absolutely devoured CDs. I had one too, everybody did, but I only let mine eat my burned CDs (mostly mixes I crafted with cross-fades and normalized levels using foobar2000 and a pirated copy of SoundForge) and carefully curated MP3-CDs. Scratched? Who cares, I burned multiple copies to pass around and trade with friends anyway.
The argument in that article is basically “Most calculators do it this way now, so that must be our convention to use, so 16 is the correct answer. Please ignore that this goes against the conventions established before calculators became transistorized.”
What am I gonna do with a bushel of to tomatoes?
But, seriously, my biggest issue with buying from “real” farmer’s markets is the gas and time I spend getting there and the ease of buying WAY more than I will realistically be able to actually eat before it goes bad. It’s so easy to buy too much (For me anyway, that 's probably just a me problem).
“Current” science is a bit of a stretch, like a couple thousand years of stretching. Eratosthenes showed the earth was round and calculated its circumference to an astonishing precision using research and fairly simple trigonometry. He died 2,219 years ago.
True. True. True. And yet, that market may exist regardless. We’ll see I guess.

Gaming@beehaw.org•An unsettling indie game about horses keeps getting banned from stores
5·5 months agoSo, by that definition and the definition everyone else is using, the game has been banned from various marketplaces for games. Context matters. In this context ban is used EXACTLY the same way we talk about banned books at the library.

I want you to know how unwelcome your ideas and attitudes are.
