it’s almost like we’d make better pets than masters.
it’s almost like we’d make better pets than masters.
that’s the question we all have to collectively answer, so i’m asking you now in the hopes that others will see what you say. i don’t want to put words in people’s mouths, i just want them to talk it out.
so what is the most logical step if we are to avoid a global catastrophe?
i can’t tell if this is supposed to be sarcasm or not but this is godawful moral advice.
“stay comfy and forget about it if you can”
do we or do we not have an obligation to be stewards of the earth? obviously the decision is a personal one. i guess i’ve decided with my post existential thoughts that we do, and that if you don’t agree with me, i don’t want you on my team. or the planet for that matter.
but those that aren’t receptive are literally the problem. american politics has been a 60/40 split with unequal representation for decades. the gears of government are locked in a bitter struggle where not enough is getting done and the problems keep piling up.
what do any of us do when logical, good faith arguments fail and the future of the world depends on convincing idiots that the sky is blue? serious question.
what are you even talking about?
ok man. i’ll be over here having a good time.
hey! you leave beer and cigs out of this!
ok. keep donating then. get back to me in 10 years.
they should try, but those orgs are not trying. those orgs are pacifying.
that seems about as useless as bitching online about it.
the system grinds down opposition. change from within is near impossible.
at the end of the day, it’s all complaining and no action. i get so tired of hearing children whine and doing nothing about anything.
then we should ‘deal’ with them
Right-wing instances were defederated after they wouldn’t moderate their users posting CSAM, gore, and nazi shit.
seems like it would have been more productive to infiltrate and doxx than just to look away.
seems like it would behoove the average worker to try to hold out until after 2025. let’s let the axe fall on these billionaire property owners. in my experience, poor people benefit from rich people hitting hardship. things get cheap when they need to come up with liquid capital. i know so many people who were able to buy a house during the 2008 collapse. a lot of properties were auctioned off for pennies on the dollar, and a lot of hard-working people reaped the benefits.
yes. you can read my previous comments on how to switch. all i’m trying to do is make people understand how to switch.
spoiler: it isn’t pretty
between work colleagues, sure, but if it’s a government office or just a business, there’s no way i’m going through all the channels online. i’ve had many cases where a bureaucracy would have crushed my request, but because i got through to a living being, the matter was cleared up in minutes.
i’m neurodivergent too. did you know that you can hear a person smiling in a phone call? make connections with people now while the world will still let you. it only gets darker if you folks feed that isolationist anxiety.
adults today will never understand either, apparently.
