1·4 months agoDemon Tides. The sequel to Demon Turf. It’s an open world 3D platformer with a pretty deep move set. Definitely has some Wind waker influence too.
Also been dabbling in Hades. It’s good and fun, but I’m not quite as blown away as I expected to be based on all the hype.
GeoGuessr. I’m both better and worse than I expected to be at this.

3·4 months agoChugging along through the Halo: Master Chief Collection.
I missed out on the series back in the day and now I’m playing through all of them. They’re great. The collection is insane value, especially since I got it on sale for like $10. 40-50 hours in and I have 1 and a half campaigns left still. Multiplayer is active and works well.

3·5 months agoMy best advice is try to give most of your team a way to revive each other. Chemist, White Mage and Monk. That can buy you a lot more time in the tough battles you could be locked into. Monks are especially OP because they can support and have really strong attacks, like shockwave which can cover the map if the elevation allows it.
Good luck!

3·5 months agoIf you’re playing the Ivalice Chronicles version, I do believe they made it impossible to get soft-locked that way thanks to a sort of escape menu for certain battles. Same thing happened to me back in the day and I beat it recently!
It’s all fun and games until you brake and the whole thing slides down and covers the front windshield and you can’t see anything. Source: I was lazy about this once, but never again.
So close!! That is a shape 💕

5·6 months agoI have to run “fsck /dev/sda9” every time my Mint laptop battery dies. No idea why or how to automate that if it’s possible. The last time took like 9 hours to check everything, AND THEN told me I had to run some check again and can’t use “-y” and had to manually enter “y” for every prompt. Wtf and why? I thought Mint was the normie distro made for me.

3·7 months agoLunacid. Just finished 100%ing it and I’m impressed. I wasn’t expecting to get so much out of it, but it took nearly 40 hours.

10·9 months agoI’ve been on a 3D platformer binge.
Just finished Castle on the Coast and was pleasantly surprised. It starts off feeling a little janky, but after the first 30-60 minutes realize it’s intentional and you are a silly giraffe parkour GOD. Some later levels get into abstract platforming and refreshingly different mechanics than I’ve experienced before. Worth checking out if you’re a 3D platformer-head.

Currently playing through Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Never played any of them before, but always wanted to. Just finished the first one and it was quite fun, although I did not like the final boss. There should have been a checkpoint after the first phase (2 keys phase). Looking forward to finding out how they developed the mechanics from there in 2 and 3.

Nothing against the artist, they’re obviously highly skilled, but this (and other) character art is the biggest barrier to me wanting to try BG3.
I really don’t like it and have a hard time putting the reasons why into words. At the very least, the sneering smile, the hand gesture… It’s all too much. Feels like a Marvel movie poster.

1·10 months agoInto the Unwell playtest. It caught my attention at Summer Game Fest and I was lucky enough to get the invite. I am loving it so far and can’t wait for it to release. Go wishlist it now!
Also playing a bit of Garfield Kart: Furious Racing. Fun little Kart game and the sequel is in the works.

Luckily there are loads of good indie games at low prices with low spec requirements
