Hell yeah. Then put on Propagandhi for good measure.
“We want a senior that is desperate or dumb enough to take junior pay.”
Feels like a good time to listen to All Fall Down by Against All Authority.

30·5 days agoA company losing a fuck load of money because its users aren’t making interesting games with their product, sounds like a massively stupid product right out of the gate lmao.
Reminds me of Zelda’s castle in the starting area of Link lol.
Have an acquaintance that is single and went through a messy divorce. Still tries to give unsolicited advice to everyone. Don’t tell people to clean their room if yours is perpetually messy.

memes@lemmy.world•Ever noticed how cult-like the AI community is?
2·10 days agoI have a handful of tools and added skills that make it talk less like a human. They avoid marketing speak, passive voice, filter out annoying words and structures, etc. Worth it. It gets the job done and doesn’t try to pretend to be human. I don’t need coddling.

6·10 days agoI’m in a weird middle ground where I know how to use it well because work requires it and I require a paycheck. But I also hate it and consider it a path to the destruction of everything.
You can present AI cultists with all the data and information available to backup how bad it is for their brain and society. It won’t matter. They write it off and call you either a Luddite or a hater. That’s what happens when you allow technology to dumb down your brain. No study or hard data is going to deter them from half-assing their way to everything instead of actually learning.

there is no ethical consumption under capitalism.
I appreciate you expanding on examples. All of this paints a clear picture, and even Peter Thiel has said the quiet part out loud: the ruling class see democracy as a problem because it prevents them from owning everything and keeping us as wage slaves.
The headlines will always lean negative because it sells. So it’s healthy to always remember that good things are happening on a smaller scale in local communities, and we can’t forget about that. Even contributing to shared garden spaces and producing your own vegetables is a form of protest in its own way.
It’s essentially the same thing the US has done for ages in foreign countries, so it makes sense for other governments to do the same. That’s why it needs to be principled and smart, not reckless and ham fisted.
Can’t tell if this reply is praising or criticizing.
They’re not going to get any gun laws changed period if the system and the people that built it don’t want them to. Similar to how they had to create their own programs to feed children because the government refused to.
