Just going to leave this horror here. It’s the post feed logic from Tesseract that determines what posts should be displayed or hidden.
I’m surprisingly level-headed for being a walking knot of anxiety.
Ask me anything.
I also develop Tesseract UI for Lemmy/Sublinks

Appreciate them! They really do not get paid enough to try as hard as they do.
I mean, you can (and should) pay attention to politics IRL to stay informed and make informed choices. But blocking out politics on social media, though, is quite understandable and often necessary for sanity.
I never meme about individual users; that’s just not my style.
It’s merely an illustration of a trend I notice every so often.
I wasn’t really looking at the MAU stats when I made this; it just felt like it’s been more actively lately (both good and bad). Unfortunate the numbers are actually trending downward.
For one thing, people might be turning away due to the upcoming USA election
Possibly. I’ve gone into self-imposed social media blackouts during election season many a time. Sometimes you just need a break.
Whenever I go looking for examples of such I usually find it in 0-60 seconds, by going to Lemmy.ml and browsing by Local … people are not willing to put up with such, and seem to be leaving us
Yeah. I have felt for a while that ml
being the official or at least de facto flagship instance is doing more harm than good. I’m not going to tell them how to run their instance, but I am sad and frustrated that it seems to turn so many people away under the impression the whole fediverse is like that.
I’m cool with Fedizens 😀.
I think I was on Reddit for 12 (?), but I wasn’t nearly as active there as I am here.
Happens to the best of us.
As a Reddit refugee myself,I can’t disagree with that. But I will clarify that there’s generally two kinds of Reddit Refugees, though:
The meme is largely referencing the latter.
You succeeded :)

I hate it on both ends.
If I ever lose my current job (I actually like it and am planning to retire from this one unlike all prior ones), I’ll probably just go live in the woods or work some unskilled job. Not that I’m unskilled; I just have no desire to deal with what passes for job seeking these days.
TIL but was not surprised.
Yep, exactly.
When I notice that ahead, I always slow down a bit to put some good distance between it and myself.
I think the safety guidelines are 3 seconds of reaction time which comes out to about 1 car length per 10 MPH of speed.
But yeah, good luck with that because other drivers just see that as space they can merge.
Me: (Leaves the appropriate number of car-lengths for the present speed between me and the vehicle in front of me)
Some jerk who should have their license revoked: [No turn signal] I merge here now!
That also looks like me in college when my friends would complain that we didn’t have anything to smoke out of.
Racism shouldn’t exist, but if it’s going to, it should at least be expensive.
I think some of your formatting / image embed may have gotten lost in translation between Kbin and Lemmy. Looking at your comments on your home instance, there are images. Here, they’re just the (1/3) counter text. I’m guessing that would explain the downvotes.
For reference, the Lemmy format for embed images is ![Alt text](image url)
Depending on what shape it’s pressed into, kind of lol.
Probably at the point they went to the app store, searched TikTok, and clicked “install”.
