It’s better. Not good. Better than other tools, at least in the eyes of the many people using it. But as I stated at another post, to me this speaks to the fact that we need better FOSS alternatives for whatever purposes discord is used. I don’t like Discord either, don’t get me wrong! But so many people using it means something’s missing and I don’t think it cab solely be explained by the lack of knowledge of existing solutions but at least partly by the existence itself.

I think this is more a case of the triangle inequality in metric spaces, as you don’t have to calculate any particular edge to see the shortcut, as well as that it applies to any even non-rectangular triangle.

Where do you live? I’m asking because my experience couldn’t be more different and I’m in Germany.

I’m also a man, went to therapy and my therapist was just fantastic! She could relate to me, gave excellent advice etc., really changed my life for the better.

PS: of course I didn’t have go anything or so, just if I’d miss a session ^^ (in theory, but even 30m late to a 50m session was still fine hehe)

Depends on what you wanna do. Also it’s a matter of preferences. For anything more complex than a simple letter or a table I’m using Latex. But although I love Latex, I must acknowledge that for some it’s not the right tool.

This apparently is a “Karpfen”, the fish you’ve been seeing probably was a “Stör”.

There was/is a stör-meme in the German community feddit. I suppise its a consequence of the OpenSource community being very big in Germany, that we often reach the trending (or “all”?) category even with German specific memes.

The stör-meme was essentially just a very bad pun, repeated endlessly. Stör(en) = Bother/annoy/disturb/interrupt… and also Stör = some kind of fish (which I didn’t even know before).

Also Stör is ofen part of other words so the pun potential is huge. Check out comments of popular stör memes, there are people explaining it way better than me.

I mostly agree, though I didn’t know it made people so mad or angry. The seagull looks funny and the text is stupid, have seen worse shitpost. I can see your point though that after the 10th time this content gets repetitive and boring but perhaps my feed looks different than yours. 🤷‍♀️

Btw not all leftists are automatically communists, though often times it holds true. But that’s besides the point here I think ^^
