When people hear the concept of thought crimes described to them, they rightfully recoil in disgust at that kind of dystopic idea. However, euphemize the concept as intellectual property, and for some reason, most people are fine with it.
Hello, tone-policing genocide-defender and/or carnist 👋
Instead of being mad about words, maybe you should think about why the words bother you more than the injustice they describe.
Have a day!

Is anyone else bothered (but not surprised) by the fact that Amazon/Twitch agreed to cover it up for him? Seems pretty wild that they should be off the hook for working to protect his image after doing predatory shit like this.
Here’s a neat tip:
You can go to most publisher or developer pages on Steam and “ignore” them to prevent Steam from ever showing you their slop again.
Example:
You can do the same with EA, 2K, etc. Don’t even give these parasites microseconds of your time when they release their next slop title.
Friendly reminder that conflating Jewish people with Israel is highly antisemitic.
Ethnostates should not exist. They will always result in the exclusion and harm of the excluded groups, as we are seeing now with the government of said ethnostate attempting to genocide Palestinians.
Both Nazis and the genocidal government of Israel are willing to enact violence to uphold their ethnostates, so in that regard, comparing Zionism (not Jewish people) to other ideologies that aim to build ethnostates is perfectly apt.
Hope this helps 🥰
If you’re mad that the flag of Israel is depicted next to a Nazi logo, I would remind you that Israel is not the same thing as Jewish people, nor does it represent them. Israel is representative of a Zionist nation-state, and nothing more.
Both of the ideologies depicted in this meme are centered around genocidal ethnostates, so nothing being said is untrue.
Yeah. I hope as Helix grows more popular, our problems will solve themselves in both directions: where Helix can address them directly, and people start hacking Neovim to work more like it.
Out of curiosity: what issues with the LSP are you having and what distro do you run? I’ve found that most of my issues could be resolved by running Helix’s health checks and making sure that the binaries needed by the LSP are available in $PATH
.
Unfortunately, I did start having issues with Go where it seems like the LSP might be crashing and I’ve yet to resolve that one for myself.
As someone that never really clicked with Vim, but has been enjoying Helix, I’ve been looking for the opposite: something that makes Neovim follow the selection-action paradigm, along with all of the Helix keybindings.
You might’ve gotten an automated denial due to exceeding the standard threshold for refund eligibility. Make another request until it gets human intervention.
Amazon would own slaves if they could legally do it.
Capitalists would own slaves if they could legally do it.
Yeah. I intentionally buy my games on Steam for ethical reasons because Valve contributes to a positive gaming ecosystem by making things run seamlessly on Linux.
GOG contributes to a negative gaming ecosystem by making Windows the “easy” option and not making use of Proton (or similar tech). Hopefully they fix that one day, but they don’t seem to care.
