Pack it full of tankies first.
Pack it full of tankies first.
Right. And that would stop if people quit participating on fb.
I like being up to date on what my city councillors are doing, events my local cafes host, local art exhibits, etc. Things that have tangible benefits to my community.
I’m going to say this in the nicest way possible- get up off your behind and attend council meetings in person, walk around your neighborhood, do anything except getting all your local news from Facebook. It’s literally there to show you what they want you to see, not what you want to see. Meta as a company is awful, and the algorithms they use to deliver content and advertising to you are a malignant tumor on society. Any information you get from it can easily be ascertained by walking around your neighborhood.
That whole mindset is weird to me. I’m in my mid 40s and just got hired on as a team lead for a bunch of kids who are fresh out of college. They’re exactly where I am when I started and I’m excited to share my 20 years of experience and mentor them.
They wanted to hire me on as their supervisor but I made it clear that the extra couple grand a year for that headache didn’t interest me.
I was in endpoint management and security until last year. I got my A+ and sec+, and couldn’t find a job. I did actually find a job, but these fucks wanted to pay me less than I’m making in business ops now. So anything bad these companies have coming to them, they absolutely deserve it.
Although I suppose if that’s you I have serious questions about why you went that way instead of getting a Quest 2 when Meta was just giving them away, like everybody else did.
I can only speak for myself, but the answer is easy. Meta and Zuck can get bent. You’re required to have a FB account to run it and I’m not doing that.
It’s funny you mention that about teams and O365. Microsoft just announced O/M365 licenses will be sold without Teams now, in the US. Something something antitrust lawsuit.
It is normally a security thing. Unless the company has managed mobile devices, you don’t want company data on a personal cell phone.
Nah. If they’re wrong, go ahead and correct them yourself.
They’re all just jumping off cliffs because their friends are doing it, too.
Ah yes. Lemmings
I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do about that. I started WFH in 2017 after the global company I worked for moved headquarters and offered me the option to work from home.
For context, I started as an entry level CSR, with a GED and no college degree. I still don’t have a college degree but with over 15 years of experience, I make great money in a low COL area. It can be done, but it takes work. It’s certainly not for everyone.
Remote work. I could never get around these interactions in an office, but remotely, I can stretch out the IM replies to slow the people down. Then they generally move on to someone else to get instant gratification when other people answer them faster than I do.
Haven’t played Detroit, but I’m intrigued.
Mafia 3 is another game that leaves no doubt about what the color of your character’s skin is.
I’m usually that person as well. BG3 was the first game in probably 8 years that hooked me on the story. If I sprinted through it, I would have probably saved like 80% of the time I spent playing it, but I enjoyed it. Maybe I’m simple, to me it felt like the decisions mattered.
