Imagine we come to learn that we’re the absolute biggest assholes in all of the universe, and that’s why all the alien homies avoid us.
That, vampire, yokai, wasps, and pretty much all of Australia.
Technology implies belligerence.
Technology is a war we wage against nature; technology is a means of asserting ourselves and usurping nature’s rule, which is necessarily a violent act.
I’d expect advanced alien civilisations to be further along at evolving beyond their atavistic impulses. We have a long way to go there.
This is even funnier if you believe the conspiracy theory that fallen angels (evil ones) are posing as aliens.
