Tbf, Chile basically IS just a coastline plus a few extra bits thrown in for scale 🤷

Speaking as someone from a tiny country with tons of coast line and a lot of mountain envy…good point 😁

Croatia definitely blocks it better. Argentina still has lots of access to the Atlantic, and blocking Bolivia is a team effort between Chile and Peru.

Yet Croatia’s geography is basically a “Fuck you in particular,” practically going out of the way just to block Bosnia & Herzegovina. Chile doesn’t try anywhere near that hard.

Actually, it’s all Chile when it comes to blocking Bolivia, but they unfortunately deserved it.

And in the North Slovenia’s little coastline is packed tightly between Italy and Croatia.

Didn’t Bosnia do a genocide not too long ago?

Permanent loss of beach privileges seems like a reasonable punishment; if anything, it’s too light.

I’m no geologist, but afair Serbia was the main genocider in the Yugoslav Wars and Bosnia was the main punching bag.

That’s a gross oversimplification based on a combination of my own faulty memory and skimming the above Wikipedia article, of course, but DEFINITELY more fair than “it was all Bosnia’s fault and they deserve to be cut off from the sea forever as punishment” 😄

My bad; I know nothing of the Bosnian Genocide beyond the name. It was a shitty joke anyway.

No worries, none of us get em all right and far too few of us have the integrity to admit when we’re wrong on the internet 🤜

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • AI-generated comics aren’t allowed.
  • Limit of two posts per person per day.
  • Bots aren’t allowed.
  • Banned users will have their posts removed.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
